DERMAPLANE/MICRODERM
Care Instructions
Dermaplaning & microdermabrasion are exfoliating treatments that remove the outermost layer of skin to reveal the smooth, radiant skin beneath. These procedures help to prevent congestion and breakouts, reduce signs of hyperpigmentation, aging, and acne scarring, and combat texture.
Wash your face with cool water
Cool water helps soothe post-peel sensations
Moisturize + Hydrate
Peels temporarily compromise your skin’s barrier. Reinforce your barrier with a medium to thick moisturizer. Drink water to avoid dehydration which can make skin feel tight.
Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or more
Your skin is more delicate after a peel, so avoid direct sunlight. If you must be outdoors for an extended period of time, please use a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen
Avoid strenuous workouts, saunas + steam
Increased blood circulation can intensify warming, tingling, itching, redness, and other uncomfortable side effects on freshly peeled skin. Skip such activities on the day of your peel.
Don’t over-exfoliate
Peels are maximum strength exfoliants so you don’t need to exfoliate within 3-4 days of your peel. Over- exfoliating can lead to more redness and sensitivity.

MICRONEEDLING
Care Instructions
DO NOT take anti-inflammatory medications for 1 week. We want the body’s natural healing process to take place. Avoid tanning/prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for 2 weeks. After 24 hours, always use full-spectrum sunscreen, SPF 30 or above. When exposed to the sun, wear a hat and apply sunscreen every 2 hours.
Use Tylenol as needed for soreness. Redness/sensitivity may be present; plan your social calendar accordingly.
Days 1-3:
Skin will feel tight, dry and sensitive to the touch, much like a sunburn. Treat skin gently — wash with a gentle cleanser, cool water, using hands only and pat dry no earlier than 4 hours after your treatment. Avoid strenuous exercise, jacuzzi, sauna or anything that causes sweating for 24 hours or up to 48 hours if inflammation exists. Only use mineral makeup after 24 hours.
Days 2-7:
Peeling may occur 3-5 days post-treatment. Skin will be dry and flaking. DO NOT pick, scratch or scrub. Allow the skin to flake off naturally and keep moisturized at all times with hyaluronic acid.
Days 5-7:
Once skin is no longer irritated, you may resume your regular skincare routine and Retin-A if applicable. For best results, we recommend to follow-up treatment in 4-6 weeks and a series of 3-5 treatments depending on your goals.
